My first job was treating a wasp nest in an attic Higham Ferrer’s in the early 1990’s. If I remember correctly it was a very hot day and I had to enter the attic area, via a ladder that was much too short to be safe, with extra layers on, so as not to get stung and spray an unknown chemical on to the wasp nest. We pleased to say that, after more than three decades in the pest control industry and being long time members of the National Pest Technicians Association, Pestwise has invested time and money into training in Health & Safety, Product Identification, Insect & Rodent Treatment course’s, obtaining certificates in safe and effective Pest Control and national accreditations in Pest Control business management, the result is a six-strong team of technicians that are trained, insured and most importantly they are good, knowledgeable, people to deal with.
After working hard to expand his client base throughout the Wellingborough, Rushden and surrounding areas, out of the blue Pestwise were asked to quote for a Housing Association project in Milton Keynes. At the time we felt that Milton Keynes was out of our preferred catchment area. Within a couple of weeks of receiving the Housing Association request, an existing client who ran a large national recycling plant locally, asked if he would quote for his new site in Milton Keynes. Both quotations were excepted and Pestwise went on the next phase of the journey with healthy growth. We also offer many commercial related contract services for sectors such as property management, health care facilities, factories, offices and much more.
In July 2014 Pestwise Pest Control became an accredited BSi ISO 9001 company and together with a thriving second office in Melton Mowbray, Pestwise has gone from a standalone, sole trader with little experience to a team of five trained technicians and Rob that cover all aspects of Pest Control in an increasingly wide area.
In 2018 Kris, Rob’s eldest son was made a partner in the family firm and has proved to be an asset to our growing company.
Having our technicians Kris, Richard, Carl and Pat on board is positive progression and we are more than happy to look after our many existing clients and look forward to welcoming new customers in the near future.
